Clean Water ProjECT Africa
When Emmanuel returned home from Nigeria and after seeing video of children and elderly adults walk 3-4 miles daily in temperatures of 100+ degrees to obtain water to drink my heart broke. I cannot image using water from a stream for drinking, washing my clothes and bathing! My eyes began to open.
The consequences of unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) on humans can be deadly. Over 700 children under age 5 die every day of diarrheal diseases due to lack of appropriate WASH services. In areas of conflict, children are nearly 20 times more likely to die from diarrheal disease than from the conflict itself.
At Charity for World Hunger, we work with partners to provide access to clean water. Help us to reach our goal!
